REACH- Registration, Evaluation, Authorization of Chemicals
On December 18, 2006, the European Parliament and council of the European Union adopted a regulation on chemical substances, titled Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals “REACH”. Antenna Experts would like to provide to you, our customers, with the status of the REACH regulations within our organization.
Antenna Experts fully supports the intention of the program to protect human health and the environment. In order for this regulation to have its desired impact; a significant amount of information must be generated and exchanged both up and down the supply chain. Antenna Experts is currently working on the most efficient method to share the information with our customers, suppliers, and the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
REACH provides a phase-in period during which substances can be pre-registered, June 01, 2008 through Nov 30, 2008 with the deadlines of full registration dependent on the quantities of the substances produced or exported into EU countries. REACH requires the chemical industry to have knowledge of chemical properties and the intended use of the substances. We are currently working on the most effect method to exchange information between our customers, suppliers, and channel partners.
Antenna Experts confirm that all the products manufactured by us and delivered to European Union are fully compatible with above mentioned REACH Directive.
WEEE – Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
The WEEE Directive, also known as 2002/96/EC, is a European Directive aiming to reduce the amount of waste electrical and electronic equipment and its impact on the environment. It seeks to achieve this by decreasing the amount of waste going to landfill and in turn improving re-use, recovery and recycling rates.
The WEEE regulations came into effect in January 2007 and apply to all producers placing electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) onto the market, whether that be through manufacturing, re-branding or importation. The regulations apply to all producers regardless of turnover, market share or number of employees and cover both domestic and business waste.
At Antenna Experts we take our ethical responsibility to protect our environment very seriously. We take strict measures to limit the amount of waste we produce as a business.
Antenna Experts confirm that all the products manufactured by us and delivered to European Union are fully compatible with above mentioned WEEE Directive.
